Hi All,
The fishing has been picking up each day in the Clearwater as the river clears up this week. We have had terrible weather and a ton of rain, but the river is looking great now. We have been going out about every day testing the waters and in the last day and a half the fish have finally showed in good numbers. The fishing had been somewhat slow in the Clearwater R. which was a little weird considering the numbers of fish over Lower Granite and the fact that fishing on the lower Snake R. have been red hot at times. Today was the first day there seemed to be a large number of Clearwater fish in the system. We hooked 6 fish one after another this morning in the first hour of the day. It was nice to finally get great action, and we were seeing plenty of other boats hooking up as well. Finally the fish are here! Just in time considering my first trip is tomorrow. I have been playing with some new bait this season and it seemed to be the ticket today. I can’t wait to try it out in the morning! I will send a report after the next few days!
