Hi everyone,
Here are a few pics from the last 4 days in Hells Canyon. We have seen Bear, Shot turkeys, hooked into Sturgeon and pounded the chukar. The opening of Chukar was a success with lots of bird the last 3 days. We killed around a 100 total and had a limit on opening day. Doug boated around 20 steelhead and Chinook on Friday, but fishing got much slower through the weekend and my boat only got a couple steelhead each day in the mornings before we started hunting. I would suspect the Steelhead fishing will be off the hook here real soon at the mouth of the Salmon with the numbers of fish crossing Lower Granite Dam. The word on the street is that the steelhead limit will be going to 5 per day here real soon so I will keep everyone posted on this and when it will go into effect.
