Hi all,
Just a quick fishing report before we fire off our steelhead this weekend. Fishing was good down at Astoria this season. We had plenty of days where the fish numbers to the boat were in the 20’s and 30’s. Boat loads of Coho really made the action as good as it could get at times. Trying to manage a boat in the wind with 4 fish on at once can make for lots of fun, and Chaos! Thanks to all of our clients that made the long trip to the mouth of the Columbia to fish with Doug and I, we had a blast!

Steelhead numbers are through the roof this season and the fish catching is already taking place here on the Snake and Clearwater. Doug had a short trip for 2 clients this morning and boated a dozen steelies on the lower Clearwater. The Clearwater river flows have really dropped, so for those of you bringing your own boats out this way BE CAREFULL! Doug said it was pretty skinny out there today in places. Doug and I will be starting our Steelhead fishing in Hells Canyon tomorrow and through the weekend. Word has it that there are good numbers of fish up the Snake and we are also seeing chukar on the river so our Cast and Blast opener this weekend should go over well.

We have open lodge dates and plenty of days available for 1 day trips as well. Just give us a shout if you want in on this phenomenal steelhead run this season!!!!

Thanks and Fish On!!!!!
