We fished VECA Electric on the Clearwater on Friday and the Snake on Saturday and Sunday. The weather was so cold on Friday you couldn't feel your fingers. Temp was hovering right at freezing with a terrible wind to go with it. We had a hook up right off the bat with a very large fish that took us down river a ¼ mile then ran under the boat and cut out line at the leader. A few more drifts and then we put one in the boat, then another. Fishing was not red hot but we put 8 fish to the boat by 1:00 and then we lunch and it was time to head over to the Snake before dark. The next 2 day were much warmer with great weather. Plenty of fish but jumping in the boat by any means. We had to work for them. All and all it was a great trip and the boy ended up with a cooler full of keeper to take home! Thanks Jim for bringing out the rookies, we broke them in good!

I got home tonight and talked with Doug. He had fished the Clearwater today and his group put 17 fish to the boat, that's awsome!!!!! That river is up and down but man is it good on the good days!
