Report for Spring 2005:

Hey all you fish’n Fanatics… It’s Jason here from Hells Canyon Sport Fishing. I just wanted to let you all know how spring fishing has been treating our clients and what’s on our plate for the next couple of months!!!

Spring Walleye – I just got back from a week of walleye fishing on the Columbia near Umatilla, Oregon. It was the best I have ever seen. One day we caught 26 walleye including the two 15lb monsters in the attached picture. This fishery has really come on in the last 2 years. There are lots of great eating 4-7 lb fish in this system right now. I am looking forward to booking a lot more trips for next March 2006.

Spring Chinook – This is the one we have all been waiting for!  I can’t wait!!! 

Columbia R. - The fish are just starting to move into the lower Columbia and fishermen this week have finally been having better success. I will be guiding the lower and mid Columbia starting the 13^th of April and plan to chase the fish all the way to Idaho. I am starting near Kalama Washington and will move up river with the fish.  Here are my open dates for the Columbia…April 17, 19, 26, 27

Clearwater R. - I will be coming home after the 27^th and will then start fish Spring Chinook on the Clearwater and Snake Rivers. Here are my openings for here May 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31. Those of you that have fished with me on the Clearwater know that this is great fishing for awesome fish!

I am expecting to have great Salmon fishing in May. If there is a date you would like to go but I am already booked I will be having Jim and Doug running trips also. This is booking up fast so give me a call 208-750-1100 or shoot me an e-mail if you want to go.
